As some of you know, I’m cycling this June 2014 from Home to Rome to raise money for the Irish Cancer Society! This cycle of 2000km is the biggest thing like this that I’ve done and something that scares and excites me at the same time! I will cycle 200km a day for 10 days and climb over the Alps to raise money for Cancer and to raise awareness around suicide prevention!
This is hard training in the winter, cold evenings after having a long day at work, its not easy going out on the bike for hours!! The sacrifice today will take me closer to my goal for June though and I find the cycling enjoyable now because I know that it will benefit a lot of people who will get treatment from the money I raise or else the research may help other people!!
It also excites me because if I can cycle to Rome there is nothing I can’t do!! I want to inspire other people by taking on this challenge and hope to inspire other people to set massive goals and go after them!
We only get one life, live to the max and help as many as you can along the journey!! We can’t do much more than that 🙂
